What started as a brief email from The Bats4Life team to Ange Clarke from Willo Industries in Bowral has now concluded in a showing of over 100 cricket bats painted by artists from all around Australia and Bats4Life raising roughly $15,000 for Willo Industries and Will Clarke, a young man living with a disability.
The night was a resounding success with speeches from Ange Clarke, Bats4Life Co-founder Hamish Bogdan and Golden Globe Winning Hollywood Director Fred Schepisi. A crowd of 100+ flocked to the exhibition, resulting in the sale of a large portion of the bats on display.
Live music was provided by Mr Julian Cairns and stills taken by renowned architectural photographer John Gollings.
All funds raised on the night were donated to Willo Industries and Will Clarke. The night would have not been possible without Ange and Will Clarke and Bats4Life would like to thank them for giving us the opportunity to help their worthy cause.
We would also like to thank:
Kylie Greer, Julian Cairns, Fred Schepisi, Trefor Morgan, Helen Bogdan, Mark Freeman, Steve Cox, Jeremy Kible and the Bats4Life families. And of course all the artists who gave up their valuable time to donate work to the event.
